1. How Do I Verify My MicroVib II Input
Settings Are Correct? To check MicroVib II input settings, use the checklist below:
The default settings below are correct when using any standard DSS Accelerometer for input.
If you are using a High Temp Accelerometer and you have calculated and entered a specific sensitivity value, then the Volts/EU value will be different. For example, if the High Temp Accelerometer & Charge Amplifier sensitivity was calculated to be 19.4 mv/g, then the Volts/EU value would be 0.0194 for the High Temp Accelerometer channel. Beware of entering the wrong value for Volts/EU. If the nominal value is 0.020 (20mv/g) and the user accidentally entered an incorrect value such as 0.20 (200mv/g), the vibration reading will be displayed 10 times LOWER than expected, very likely permitting an unsafe aircraft condition.
