Where Can I have My DSS Equipment Calibrated?

You can have your DSS equipment calibrated at DSS Headquarters or at one of our DSS Authorized Calibration Facilities.

Calibration at DSS Headquarters: Calibration services described below are provided in the United States at DSS Headquarters. Contact DSS Headquarters to obtain calibration price and turn around times. Click here for contact information.

Calibration by DSS Authorized Calibration Facility: Customers operating outside of the United States may wish to have their equipment calibrated at a DSS Approved Calibration Facility. Contact your DSS Authorized Calibration facility to obtain calibration price and turn around times. Click here for contact information.

For calibration labs already using our calibration procedure, the most current procedure is Drawing 1391 Rev P (Revised 9 Oct 2017).


 
  Calibration Services By DSS Headquarters

DSS recommends that customers return their whole kit for calibration when due.

  • Items subject to calibration will be will be calibrated against the appropriate NIST traceable standards.
  • Items containing firmware will be updated to the latest version.
  • Items not subject to calibration will be inspected and/or functionally tested.
  • Kits with more Accelerometers and High Temp components will be charged more based on the additional expense of calibrating there items.

Payment

Please send along a PO to cover the cost that includes return shipping preference and a shipping account number if applicable. Unit will be returned via the same method shipped to DSS unless otherwise specified.

On international orders, we require payment in full prior to return shipment.

We accept wire transfers and credit card payments. To send your credit card information to DSS, follow these steps:

  • Open the DSS Credit Card Form with Adobe Reader.
  • Fill out the form with all required information. Do not include the last four digits of your credit card.
  • When you are satisfied all information has been entered, click the Submit By Email button.
  • Adobe Reader will email the form data to sales@dssmicro.com using your default email client.
  • Call DSS at the number shown on the form to provide the last four digits of your credit card.
 

 

Shipment

To insure minimum processing delay and fastest turn around time, please print, fill out and include the Equipment Return Form in your shipment. We recommend then inclusion of a statement that the equipment is being returned to the OEM for calibration and will be returned to the sender upon completion of work.

International shipments: please print, fill out and include CBP Form 3311 in your shipping paperwork.

Ship equipment for calibration and/or repair to the address shown on the Equipment Return Form.

We prefer that you ship the unit or kit directly to us via UPS, FedEx or any similar door to door service. We are not close enough to any major international airports to provide pickup service from an airport.
